1 in 5 women experience maternal mental health complications in pregnancy and postpartum
Pregnancy & Postpartum Therapy
You may be recently pregnant or have just had your baby. You expected to feel happy and full of joy but perhaps your experience is much more distressing than you anticipated. It is not uncommon to feel weepy, anxious, have intrusive thoughts, have difficulty bonding with your baby and feel lost during this time. This isn't talked about very often so you may be feeling like you are the only one. You are not. Pregnant and postpartum moms who reach out for help find their symptoms reduce, they feel hopeful again and learn how to navigate this time with a clear plan. I have specialized training in treating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
Baby Blues
"Baby Blues" lasts for approximately 2-3 weeks. If you are experiencing symptoms that are getting in the way of you enjoying motherhood beyond this time, please reach out for help.
